AXT

AXT is the alias of Toronto based electronic music producer and visual artist Alex Treen. Treen is interested in exploring the interconnectivity of images and sounds. His work evokes feelings of infinity, space and hypnosis. 

 

His music is primarily made with digital and analog synthesisers and is characterised by  evolving melodies contrasted against a driving beat. The hypnotic element of the music can be heard in the repeating patterns, frequency shifts and the space created when tension is released.

His latest project, "AXT - Motions," captures a hypnotic and darkly surreal techno vibe. The debut release pays homage to contemporary techno, peak time techno, acid techno, and trance. The single is due to be released in the Fall of 2023 and will be accompanied with a series of videos and visual art
